My Interview with Ada-Nicole Sanger

Sunday May 23, 2010

adanicolesanger

I had the wonderful opportunity to interview Ada-Nicole Sanger as she prepares to kick off the new film from Sony Pictures.  It’s a comedy called “Grown-Ups” that stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider.  Ada-Nicole plays Donna Lamonsoff, on-screen daughter to Kevin James.  With a cast like this, you bet it’s going to be a funny one and I can’t wait to see it this summer!  Here’s what Ada-Nicole had to share with me…

CTB: Tell us what you can about the movie Grown-Ups.
ANS: Basically its about friends from high school that used to be on a basketball team but then their basketball coach dies so they get together and they bring their families along for a fourth of july weekend and so they get to meet everyone and have lots of fun.

CTB: What was it like working with Adam Sandler and Kevin James?
ANS: They were hilarious and it was so much fun.  They were both really funny and really experienced and I learned a lot from them.  They are really great actors and they are both really really nice.  We were laughing every five minutes, more like every two seconds.  It was definitely fun working with them.

CTB: When will the move be out?
ANS: It will be coming out June 25th, I can’t wait.

CTB: Have you always wanted to act?
ANS: Pretty much, I’d have to say yes, ever since I was five.  I really got introduced to acting my watching those old movies with Jean Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Bing Crosby.  They just inspired me.  Ever since I could talk I could sing, ever since I could walk, I could dance.  I just love the whole feel of it, its a great experience, I love doing it so I gave it a try and followed my dreams and I am doing something that I love and get to be in a movie with one of my idols.

CTB: How did you get started in the biz?
ANS: I started dancing.  Cause I started dancing when I was three in a dance school then I moved on to singing, which was next door.  I entered a contest and a talent scout discovered me.  I took some acting classes, worked really hard and basically got my dream role.

CTB: Are you working on any other projects or movies?
ANS: Not currently but I am looking a lot, you know there is always something around the corner that you don’t see and then it pops up on you and you get really excited for it.

CTB: Was Grown-Ups the first movie you’ve acted in?
ANS: Yes, but I was on an episode of Brain Surge.  Its a Nikelodeon game show so it was a lot of fun.  It was a game of wits not acting but it was still a lot of fun.

CTB: Who would you love to work with at some point in your career?
ANS: I would have to say Amy Adams or definitely Drew Barrymore, I love her.  Ashton Kutcher, or Will Smith, I love him he is so versatile, same with Amy Adams, they are just like chameleons, ya know.  Ann Hathaway, she’s really great too.

CTB: Do you like comedy or more serious acting?
ANS: I like serious pieces but I have to say comedy would be my favorite.

CTB: What or who inspires you?
ANS: Actually Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider are my inspirations because they are so funny and they are such great friends and they really get along and it just seems like it’s they are at home doing that and it comes to them so naturally and it’s easy for them and once I tried it I thought it would be easy, they make it look so easy.

CTB: Now for some fun questions, can you describe your bedroom?
ANS: It is an oriental theme in Florida, asian fans, chop sticks comono’s and it purple and then the one out here in California is typical tween bedroom with posters all over my walls and we are renting so we can’t paint the walls, but if I could paint them it would be yellow or light blue.  I love tropical stuff being from Florida.

CTB: What is on your iPod?
ANS: I just got my iPod last month and I am really excited about that! WOO!!!  I have a lot of Floridian music, kind of tropical like Jimmy Buffet,  cool sounding carribean music and I love Jason Mroz, James Blunt, Daniel Powter, Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.

CTB: Are you like the rest of the tweens and teens that have Bieber fever?
ANS: He’s really nice.  I actually saw him at the Kids Choice Awards this year and he was really good.  I don’t think I have exactly have “Bieber fever” cause I am a fan of all types of music but he is good.

CTB: Are you on Facebook and Twitter?
ANS: I don’t really do all of that.  I do Skype sometimes but mostly I text, call and mail stuff.

CTB: Anything else that you would like to share with us?
ANS: I like to design clothes and I’m actually designing a dress for my premiere.  I’m not actually making it, I’m having someone help me make it, but I’m designing it.  The line isn’t coming out yet, I am still working on it.  The premiere hasn’t been announced yet, not sure when it will be but I am looking forward to it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to participate in this interview.  It was a pleasure talking to you and I am looking forward to seeing you in Grown-Ups and many other films in the years to come!

The Last Song!

Thursday Apr 22, 2010

I just recently saw the new movie “The Last Song” and I thought it was amazing… it was nothing like “Dear John” I thought “The Last Song” was a lot better because of the little brother and the mean girls and the whole father and cancer issue. I also love the song in it called “When I look at you” I have it stuck in my head and I have got to make a youtube video of me singing it or else it will make me go crazy! My overall review of “The Last Song” was that I thought it was a very sad and loving movie and I just I loved it… I wish all love movies were like this one! Amazing I love it! :)

Julie And Julia!

Sunday Aug 30, 2009

I just got home from seeing the movie “Julie & Julia”  I had no idea what it was about.  But after I saw it I wanted to blog!  So here I am, in the movie there is a famous cook named Juila and another woman named Julie who had Julia’s cook book and did every recipe in her book and then wrote about it!  Then near the ending she got so many comments a publisher found her blog and turned it into a book, and her book about her blog became a movie!  So then I was thinking… ” THAT COULD BE MY BLOG IN A YEAR!”  well minus the whole cooking thing!  But yeah, I just wanted to share that little story/movie with you guys! :)

Just Saw The Movie “BandSlam”

Sunday Aug 16, 2009

I just saw the movie “BandSlam” I LOVED it,  I thought it was so good!  I don’t know if you liked it or if you even saw it yet, but if you didn’t see it yet in my opinion I think it is the best movie. ( Besides Twilight! )  So I think BandSlam was really good, and don’t forget “The Five Is Silent… Sa5m”

17 Again!

Sunday Apr 19, 2009

I just got home from seeing 17 again, with my mom.  I thought it was a good movie, not great but a good movie to me.  The thing I don’t get is why they made him fall off of a wall to go back to a teenager.  Well I really liked it but that was the only thing I didn’t understand in that whole movie.  You should see it if you didn’t, maybe you understand why he fell off of a wall to get in his teenage years again.

The Hannah Montana Movie!

Friday Apr 10, 2009

I just saw the Hannah Montana movie and there were about three to four sad crying moments for me!  But other wise it was an awesome movie!  They should have a second movie, or the show following on with the movie!  In other words I LOVE that movie.  If you haven’t seen the Hannah Montana movie you should see it even if you don’t like Hannah/Miley you should see it, it rules!
